Taregana or Taregna town (song of the stars) of Bihar is alive with action. Taregana is the name of the train station of Masaurhi, a subsection township 35 kms south of Patna district headquarters on Patna-Gaya rail line. A route travel takes approximately 10 kms.

The National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA), the United States space exploration authority, has announced after twenty years of search that this ordinary township, twenty-five kilometre south of Patna, is the finest location on earth from which to keep an eye on the biggest solar eclipse of the century on July 22.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration have also named it amongst the finest places from which to observe the stars.

Aryabhatta (476-550 AD) had calculated these years ago. The renowned sixth Century astronomer-mathematician from India’s Golden Age was the first to propose that the earth goes around on its axis and evolved the concept of zero.
