Mr Prabhat Singh is correct. Total collection from " Yog Vigyan Sivir" held at Patna was over Rs. 1 Crore. Similar collections would have bee made at other parts of Bihar over this period and no doubt, it must have been taken away. Till date, I have not heard about any kind of investment by "Patanjali Yog Peeth" in Bihar except in the area of their business expansion. I am also a big fan of Ramdeo Baba but when it comes the matter of Bihar and Biharis, I must say Ramdeo Baba has gained more from Bihar in all respect - name , fame, and respect but what about the gains to Biharis except that he is our "Brand Ambassador" . Is it not a big "Endorsement Deal".

What affiliation does Baba Ramdev have with Bihar to be made Bihar's brand ambassador? Except for various shivirs he has organized in Bihar, I am not aware of any other kind of investments he has made in Bihar (I may be wrong, but I will appreciate correction). As far as I know these shivirs are big money maker for the Baba's organization. What does Bihar get from them?

Though I am not a big fan of Baba Ramdev, but there is no question about his tremendous contribution in popularising Yoga and making its practice so widespread. He took yoga to common man by making it simple. Before he came to the scene, yoga was considered difficult and practised by few. It is not that there is or there was a lack better yoga gurus, but his prominence is more due to his speaking skills than his yoga skills. Thanks to him, nearly everyone in India has been introduced to yoga and benefit from its practice. I consider his contribution to yoga comparable to the contribution made by Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhaas and others in ghazal singing (before these singers, ghazal was enjoyed and understood by few).

Baba Ramdev's claims that yoga can cure any disease is very misleading. Yoga cannot cure disease like cancer, or AIDS. This can cause people who need medical treatment to rely on yoga alone and cause great harm themselves. Baba Ramdev has not limited himself to yoga, but has at times involved himself in politics (you know how dangerous this can be). His Divya Pharmacy is a great money making enterprise. Again, I am yet to hear about any investment he has made for the benefit of the common man.
