Yes, ofcourse Litti-Chokha is an integral part of Bihari cuisine. Basincally Litti is another main-course dish and Chokha is an accompaniment of Litti. Litti is traditionally baked on charcoal fire but now a days its also cooked inside the eclectric oven by modern lady who can not stand the smoke. Litti is also deep fried in many homes now a days.

Not to forget the evergreen Litti Chokha. Its synonymous with Bihar.

Any cuisine is not complete without the sweets. Bihar has got some good sweet dishes popular among the people here. Whether you are happy or sad, you have reason to eat sweet. Laddoo is popular alover India but Tilkut, Anarsa, Khaja, Laai, Perukia, Balushahi etc are some regional Bihari sweets which we don't get everywhere.

We have 'Khaja' sweet or savoury famously made in Silaw in Nalanda. In western countries and in Arab world, they make different vaiations of this multi-layered delicacies.

But our Bihari Khaja tastes the best

Thali is most common dish in which people eat in Bihar. Foods commonly eaten in Bihar are rice (bhaat), roti, achar, chatni, and dals. Other seasonal foods change every 3-4 months depending upon the availability of seasonal vegetables, grains, fruits, etc.

Chokha is mainly made from potato but can also be from other things.

I love chokha with any food...
