मुबारक हो फ़लक़ तुझको मुझे कमतर ही रहने दे | मैं पत्थर ठोकरों का हूँ मुझे पत्थर ही रहने दे || बड़ी मुश्किल से मिल पायी तेरे दीदार की लज़्ज़त | इसे तू छीन मत मुझसे इसे मुझ पर ही रहने दे || वो कहता है वफ़ा मेरी मैं कहता हूँ वफ़ा मेरी | वफ़ाओं को तू आपस में यूँ टकराकर ही रहने दे || किया कुछ भी नहीं पर नाम उनका सुर्ख़ियों में है | बंधा है ताज उसके सर तो उसके सर ही रहने दे || निकल कर मैं चलूँ घर से निकल कर तू भी घर से आ | चला आ दोस्त बनके दुश्मनी घर पर ही रहने दे || घिसट कर जा तो सकता है कहीं भी अपनी मर्ज़ी से | परिंदा है अपाहिज क़ैद से बाहर ही रहने दे || तुम्हारे चाहने वालों की लम्बी लिस्ट है फिर तो | यहीं पर ठीक हूँ मुझको तो बस दीग़र ही रहने दे || अभी तालीम लेकर इनको मुस्तक़बिल बनाना है | ज़माने से नयी नस्लों को बस बच कर ही रहने दे || सम्भाला है क़लम मैंने क़लम हथियार है मेरा | मेरे दुश्मन के हाथों में तो बस खंजर ही रहने दे || धरम है शायरी मेरा करम है शायरी मेरा | ये तख़्त -ओ -ताज तू ही रख मुझे शायर ही रहने दे || बड़े आराम का है ‘yar

There are two more things that upsets me no end-

people piddling anywher- in the so called capital city of Patna it is difficult to walk /drive 100 mtrs without finding somone piddling on the road side.

secondly, educated people not following  any traffic rule- if you object to  this they will start fighting with you. Why wait for police to enforce traffic rules- why not follow it ourselves- it is our city, our roads.

Sir what is piddling. I am confused, please elaborate. But one thing is right, there are no traffic rules. Jiksi lathi uksi bhai bus.

well,,,m completely diverge from urs view point and from anyone else singing same song. Though this is the common perception and Psyche of every non bihari which is absolutely wrong."Jab kahin gaun basta hai to chor or police sath me baste hai" ratio could be different but possibility of both element will always b there. But why biharis only get exposed to negative n ignorance attitude is bcoz of fighting spirit we have in ourselves to fight any adversity , whether its a labor  in punjab or an IT proffesional in silicon city of india. and i guess vocaling yours right should be aplauded, now if somebody is considering it arrogance than their is no point debating it. the reason why we have to fight to sustain is the lack of opportunity in our state. but dont its a responsibility of every stakeholder of the society ,whether its gov or public to cooperate one backward state of his country.

                                                                 And when u'll be asked only urs negativity/failures or have to face discrimination/hatred attitude..a point will come when urs all patience gonna saturate and u'll attain hyper .this is what happens many times with us,,,and we only left with two option ,,either to make count the glory of magadh,iitians/ips etc or get panic and react in a manner not accepted. but when u can oppose this not accepted behavior than u should not have created the situation .

                              i had been in almost part of India and seen so called arrogant and selfish people from various state but nobody oppose that ,the rationale is simple ,,they need not go to anywhere else as they got every thing in their state.

This all perception of bihar is too some extent is fueled by people so called sophisticated biharis who enjoy their hidding their identity of bihari.....or position themselves as thoda hatke or jabardasti aristocrat bihari,,,but not want to asociate with   

the our very own bihar..........i can understand my harsh comments in between  while penning my view but u know its bit of emotions which made me to do so,,,,now if anybody put it as arrogance,,,,than sorry,,,,i have different meaning for arrogance/selfishness

I agree with you Sunny ji, often Biharis are mistaken for being arrogant for no reason. Its a misconception, Biharis are more educated than some people in Indian can imagine. There is a lot of talent in Bihar. If you go in other parts of India, there are people who can be very arrogant towards people from other states.

ya..u r rt.bt these things can not go all of a sudden.poverty ,education are the big hurdled. these things can only be eradicated when a people who r economically settled can come ahead n help them out.n stop thinking about the negative side of the face,we sud concentrate on our strength. when positve side enhance,flaws n oddies ll obiously slide off.i  hv been to  almost all the country in this world.n to be very frank. all r Beautiful,lucrative from outside...they r just hollow,deprived within.

Atleast we r genuine,truithful n hardworking.

Be proud to be a  bihari.we can turn the table for sure.Don;t feel guilty being a bihari.

Hey rohini i appreciate your concern but i would differ from you in few aspects. According to me these kind of people lack social ethics. They are not arrogant but ignorant and its not only in bihar . i have been staying in a different state since last 6 years and beleive me here also situation is same. But ya we biharis need to inculcate good social ethics so that our state reaches new height of success and pride
