We Indians are Hypocrite, ugly.

I just finished reading a book by Ms. Shobha De called SUPERSTAR INDIA. She has opened the can and worms are out. According to her, we Indians are hypocrite, know all, ugly and what not. We are selfish, arrogant,

I feel confused by what she say. Are we really like that ?

We are a nation of hypocrites. I read somewhere of an incident in Delhi where a 12 year old boy's bicycle was damaged by a car in a wedding reception. When the poor boy asked for compensation to repair his cycle, the people of the party took offence and burnt him to death in a nearby field. The story was glossed over in the regional newspapers and did not make it to the national news.

Republic of Mauritius

I am not an Indian and I have never been to India (nor Bihar). I ,also, not read the book by Ms Shobha De. India , with a population of approximately 1.2 billion inhabitants, must surely have a few millions of hypocrite, selfish, arrogant, ugly, know-all type. There is nothing abnormal. Am I right? What about the vast majority of Indians?

Actually entire world is hypocrite not only india but country like pakistan US are also hypocratic somehow or other.If you analyse the things minutely,go in detail you will itself find out the reality.we indians are bit more selfish and greedy comparision to others thats why corruption and rage kind of incidences occure day by day.You can say our iq,sense and wisdom arent properly managed.In economics we study what to produce why to produce how to produce for whom to produce who is the consumer etc.
In the same way we need to propound about human relation theory why we are ? What we to do ? for whom to do what is our motto of life what should be,what is right or wrong what are our capabilities,what is satisfaction level,how to be reluctant,what is practice and discipline etc.We and our country with giant population, lack of resources,shining urban rushful culture have forgotten actuality of lives.So dont worry about hypocracy in actual sense some are really hypocrat or some are compelled to be hypocrat.
Indians are bit more selfish corrupt in nature while Biharies have an edge on it.Thats why indians are more ugly i mean to say more corrupt and selfish.The incidence that has been mention above by my friend mr. R.singh is truely pathetic and result of greed,selfishness and corrupt mind.

i dont think so, it is like a perspective of human beings.... it depend on the individual to individual. i dont think we are hypocrite. as understand the other people. at least we are better than the people so called "developed" but in reality they dont know the value of being a human ..................Now you can understand...i hope so

ये तो हमारे रग -रग में बसा हुआ है,अपनी दुकान चलानी हो,बिजनेस चलाना हो ,पैसा कमाना हो तो इसके जरिये लोगो को बेवकूफ बनाया जा सकता है और कमायी की जा सकती है ! देश की कई बड़ी बड़ी समस्याए है! अंध विश्वास है! पाखंडी लोग इनके सहारे खूब T.R.P बना रहे है और पैसा कमा रहे है ! भरष्टाचार और गरीबी इन लोगो की उंगलियों पैर नाच रही है !

Mohammed ji, I have just spent two weeks in your country, Mauritius. I must say that I felt I was in Europe. People were so cultured, diciplined, well to do, honest and helpful unlike Biharis in Bihar who are just the opposit. I marvel as to how poor, downtrodden Bihari labourers went to Mauritius all those years ago and created a mini Europe there. But why Biharis in Bihar are hpocrite, arrogant, poor and destitute, liars, cheat and conman. Why Bihar is so poor and backward. I have never seen so fresh and so many veriety of Indian vegetables.

I beg to Mauritius people of Bihari descent to come and take over Bihar and make it another Mauritius. We Bihari in Bihar have miserably failed to develop this land in last 65 years.

You say you have never been to Bihar. Please don't ever come here, otherwise you will have fainting attack when you see Bihar and Biharis, the backwardness, poverty, destitution, absence of healthcare, roads, electricity, educational institutions, traffic jam by unroadworthy cars, buses, trucks, tempo, rickshaw. You will have heart ataack when you will see people sitting on top of bus, tempo, four riding a motorbike, goat, dogs, buffalo, cows on the road. Don't ever think of coming.

Well a lot of us have not been to Mauritius so really no point comparing what's there and what's here. The rosy picture you have painted of Mauritius is far from it. As a matter of fact, in Mauritius many non-whites are still discriminated from entering white-only clubs. We are happy where we are. Happy to be Indians and proud to be Bihari.

I don't think so. All the nations of the world have their quota of hypocrites, selfish and arrogants...not Indian alone. Shobha De must know that when one points one finger (the forefinger) towards others, there are three others (small,ring and middle) pointing towards oneself. However, I'll also wish to add this : Some are born hypocrites, some achieve hypocrisy while others have hypocrisy thrust on them
