Hi all, I find it shocking to see such poor knowledge of English amongst Bihari people. English being language of commerce and science of the world, I am afraid you all will be discarded. So, either improve your English or write in Hindi. And forget your aspiration to take on the world, make India shining or a superpower.

I think there is no logic in your blog, At least you should not say this stupid things while you are in gulf or middle east and seen many people with poor English. Most of Bihari people not getting proper environment to to speak English in Bihar. Whenever they go out of Bihar or now days they have chance to say something through social network. So let them learn slowly and help us personally , i.e. you can write in one private msg that Atik can you change the sentence in other way to b correct. Criticism is the main reason we are not able to learn English.
You are in Gulf you have seen some Arabic guys, coming from Egypt, Syria and some other country, they dont know single word of English even they cant understand spoon or plate also. But within the 2-3 month they are fluent in English. You know y?? Because the are confident they don't get insulted by their own people. The start the English, i.e.Yesterday i go , today i go and 2mro i go. Yesterday i make tea, today i make tea and 2 moro i make tea. After few month they start reading grammar and correct the things. Please help us to improve without any harsh comment.

Permalink Reply by Rachna Gupta on June 5, 2012 at 3:50pm Atik ji, I also live in Gulf state like you and know different nationalities who come here seeking employment. Who are they ? They are taxi drivers, labourers, cleaners, dustbin refuse collectors, domestics. I am not talking about their proficiency in English. I am talking about educated lots like me, you and those posting comments here. I am talking about the likes of us, blue collar workers as we are universally known.
CHALU JI, if you speak Shakespeare English in English speaking countries, you will never be understood. It would be like trying to communicate in Farsi to an Arabic speaking person. Shakespeare Engilish and English spoken on the streets and homes in English speaking countries are two different thing.

Permalink Reply by Shalu Sharma on June 5, 2012 at 5:06pm There should be no compulsion to communicate in any language. I hope most people communicate in English but if they prefer to do so in Hindi then the Hindi-Typewriter is there. All they need to do is, just click and then type in English. What I find really strange is reading vast amounts of texts of Hindi written in Roman letters. I think someone also mentioned about this somewhere.
We should not discourage anyone using poor English, this will put them off from using the site. We need more engagement and we cannot drive anyone away. Yes using Hindi might be an option for those comfortable in it

Madam ji, do you mean to say we all become dumb ? Or according to you, it would be appropriate to communicate saying " Oo Oo, Ee Ee, Aa Aa, Uu, Uu" ?
