UP/bihari engineeer discriminates in IT companies in Mum,Del,BLR,HYD,CHENAI

As per the approximate estimates, the number of Biharis employed in the IT firms operating
in Bangalore is less than 5 % of the total employees.

This is way too less compared to Marathi population in It industry in Maharastra.
Tamil population in the IT industry in Chennai and Telugu population in IT industry in Hyderabad
(where they are80-90% of total workforce).
This disparity is because of the discrimination against Biharis during recruitment by IT companies in Maharastra, Karnataka,
Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal , Delhi.

Even though biharis candidates are well qualified and possess the required IT Skills and the relevant experience,
they are not provided opportunities to prove their capability because of the discrimination against them.
The only reason for this is that he / she is a Bihari and or Speaker of Bihari /bhojpuri language.
There are many instances of this type of discrimination against Bihari /bhojpuri people in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai.

When an IT company decides for the recruitment of Fresh graduates, they conduct Campus Interviews in the Engineering
Colleges across the country except unless they are IITs/ISM/NIT of bihar where they have a compulsion to recruit students
from ll over india. But these very companies go to all the colleges of Tamilnadu, Andhra, Karnataka
Kerala & Maharastra which are in the nook and corner of these states. Even though UP/Bihar has a very good
number of reputed engineering colleges across the state these companies do not consider them for their Campus Recruitment
process except for one or two colleges like IIT/NIT/Indian school of mines .

For example recently a reputed IT company recruited many non-Bihari freshers in the pretext of selecting locals
from a engineering college , Patna.

During annual appraisal process UP/Bihari employees are given step motherly treatment and their
performance appraisals are not done fairly and objectively and thus are denied Promotions.
Other non bihari employees with similar performance are promoted to higher positions with good hike.
Biharis are denied opportunities in working on challenging assignments, denied onsite opportunities and hence have
less exposure in comparison to South-Indian or Maharastrians who are provided with ample opportunities to perform and grow.

Why UP/Biharis are being discriminated in IT industry?

The answer to this question is simple. The key positions (senior & middle management and HR) in these
IT industries are in the hands of non-Biharis who simply favour their own state candidates, against UP/Biharis
candidates. For example a Tamilian Project Manager prefers a Tamil person for an open position in his team and gets
internal references from his fellow Tamilian team members and colleagues. If he doesnt get a suitable Tamilian candidate
internally he decides for external reference by way of IT Consultants and shortlists only Tamilian candidates. He rejects
UP/Biharis Candidates referred by IT consultants even if he suits the job. The same is true for a Marathi Manager, Telugu Manager, Bengali
Manager or a Keralite Manager or Kannadiga Manager.

By this time you are all aware about how and why eligible and best Bihari brains are being discriminated in the IT Industry
and are dishonored in their own so-called country . So to stop this unfair and unjust treatment in
recruiting Biharis in IT Sector, the need for the implementation of the IT industry in Bihar is essential.

Please forward this to all Biharis so that the injustice meted out to Biharis in IT companies comes to the
notice of all the biharis , including the state government.

The Bihar state govt should exigently take steps to start IT and software companies in bihar otherwise this Discrimination will keep on growing and finally will put Bihar into a deep economic disparity against other developed Sates on India and will ultimately lead to more attacks and discrimination against the Bihari Professionals in future. So I request all Bihari people to pass on this information to other Bihar groups and bring this into notice of each and every bihari so that they can report such incidents

Typical Marathi, comes barking like dogs on any post which mentions betterment of Bihar. As long as Mumbai is in India and Bihar is in India, a person from Bihar has every right to go to Mumbai. Just like Marathis and others also used Coal,Aluminium and Uranium from Bihar for decades, and products made in companies based in Maharastra like Parle, Reliance, Mahindra, Bajaj are allowed to be sold in Bihar. These small-head Marathis do not get job in any company in Mumbai as they select more intelligent and hard-working Biharis, and they vent their loser like frustration here.

Guyz...problem is something else. as most of the top position in IT/Non IT domain Biharis are dominating still some of the ppls are discarded not due to their place but for their accent. I am too from bihar and feel bad when ppl start using such accent in the corporate.

Biharis har jagah discriminate ho rahe hai,har field me chahe corporate jobs ho chahe IT Banking BPO ya Entertainment.Bihar se bahar khas taur p Mumbai and Delhi me zabardast discrimination k shikar hai kewal ye kahna ki IT sector me ho rahe hai to galat hai.Aj kal to aur situations kharab hoti ja rahe hai Bihar bolne ki deri hai ki naukri se out agar urgency hai to rakhega otherwise out.To pure india me Bihari tag lagte hi ap Alien ho jate hai Alien.

Bihari kaha intelligent hote hai kisne kah diya!corporates me kam karne k liye Bihari Baklol se kam nahi.Even i am Bihari so i am Baklol.Lalu ji k raj me Bihari Mtv V zee aur star plus dekh k bade hote the aur jyadatar Hollywood Bollywood films dekhte the ab to Bhojpuri cinema aur mahuwa tv dekh kar bade hote hai kaha se ayega right diction aur accent.Wese bhi enterprise skill k mamle me Bihario ka dimag bahot piche hai.Marathi bahot intelligent hote hai jaise Sachin Tendulkar.

Very soon Bihar will also emerge as a developed state in India. Just make sure we have the right people in power. Bihar needs to invest in its own IT sector as most of the IT people in Bangalore are from Bihar.

The West only steals and wages war for oil. It also divides nations and then sells weapons to them. At the moment the West is in deep recession and hardly in a position to dictate terms to the rest of the world. We need to learn lessons from them.

The decline of Bihar as a state started during Jaganath Mishra and then Laloo was the final nail in the coffin. We are ourselves to blame. It will take time when Biharis will again be respected across India. The word BIHARI itself seems derogatory and that is why we must campaign to change the name of the state to Magadh.

So long as you cant stop thinking that you are soo much intelligent comparison to others till then you cant be develop.I always find out in Biharies speeches they are to show up as master mind or genious brain while in reality they are zero, hard working & lack of humour.Changing name of Bihar maynt be final solution to regain our pride It is only possible to achieve level of development Nevertheless, I will support to get our state name changes as Magadh because It is associated with great glorious past of our soil,It is sounding good,Magadh name will also help in proper strong branding of the region.I think its quite OK seeing the near future.All true Bihari heart sure would like to the name changed.

People from Bihar can be called BIHARIS but what do you call the people of Magadh. The word Magadh cannot be distorted and therefore cannot be thrown back at us. West Bengal has been changed to Pashim Banga so why cant Bihar be called Magadh. But there is no initiative on part of the Bihar government to do so.

Maharastra has too many good cities.Mumbai Thane Nasik Nagpur Pune Goregaon Konkan kolhapur Aurangabad.Maharastra is counted among the top rich state of india Where is good cities in Bihar only backward patna (lol).I am tired of listening over intelligency of Bihari people,Bihar has nothing special except few UPSC competors.Can I know?, How will you be able to turn our small towns into the Big cities within the 5years ?

Ya u r right kritika ziee I agree.Most of us are full of jealous, hatred and leg puller. Tang khichne k mamle me india me no. 1 hai iske alawa upper lower ki bahas bazi me jyada padte hai vikas wali bahasbazi me kam.Kya hoga ab to bhagwan hi malik hai Bihar ka !
