Brahmeshwar Singh also known as Mukhiyaji, the head of Ranvir Sena has been killed in Ara town today 1-6-12 in the early morning by unknown people. He was a great leader who protected upper castes from Naxalism. Laloo Yadav who promoted MCC activists by not doing going after them. Ranvir Sena was the only way out.The Ranvir sena was a group that was fighting for farmers, but when people from lower caste started attacking and killing upper caste innocent people, they had no choice. It is not good to see any one killed but Laloo raj was the worst Bihar had to face. He should be held personally responsible for destroying Bihar, promoting and doing nothing to curb caste violence.
No Bhumihar is going to forget what Laloo did to drive out Bhumihars and uppercast people out of Bihar.
May his soul rest in peace.

I can not understand a bit the mindset of people who are sympathetic to Ranbir Sena chief. This man was a criminal first and the last. Blood of hundreds of innocents smeared his hands. I accept he was concerned about theplight and injustice metedout to Upper Caste, to which I too belong. BUT, that is all. His means were criminal, his henchmen who carried out massacre were criminals and goons. Anyone glorifying or defending this man become same as this man by showing sympathy or support. This dead man should have tackled the situation in peaceful manner.

This is exactly what happened to numerous upper castes in Bihar during Laloo's tenure as CM. Ranbir sena was nothing more then a god sent in a country where Dalits are treated as super humans and upper castes as sub. Brahmeshwar Singh was a great man and we upper castes are not apologetic about it.
In a civilised society, things like these do not happen. Besides, people like Brahmeshwar Sing are put in jails very early in their career. In a civiled society there is court of law, police and investigating mechanism to deal with such atrocities. And why do we must blame Lalu ? How did he become CM / Who made him CM ? How did he rule Bihar directly or indirectly for 15 years ? Answer is simple. We made him. Knowing fully well what he was doing. We Biharis are Napunsak, when we face problem, we run away from Bihar. We do not protest and run amock like this loot - maar taking place in Patna. Why did we not do it during Lalu Raj ? If we had done so, his government would have been dismissed and President rule imposed.
No, we did not do that. I include myself too. To punish a criminal does not mean we become criminal too. There is Police, there is court. And if anyone say to the contrary, then we are not living in civilised Bihar. See what the riots in Patna in lat few days has done to prove my point.

Permalink Reply by R Singh on June 5, 2012 at 12:02am Seems as if you arent aware of Bihari politics. If you were then you'll know that MY unity was unbroken until Nitish stepped in, the core supporter of Laloo. Lets not talk about civilised societies. Which country is civilised, Great Britain or USA which you so proudly subscribe to.
I have to catch flight for Singapore in early morning. When I am back after a week, I will reply.

There is no doubt that Muslim-Yadav unity of Laloo was the cause of Laloo's 15 year reign. Muslims and Yadavs make a large section of the Bihari population and Laloo was able to tap that. No one was able to break that combine. But for the first time upper-lower-Dalits have voted for Nitish Kumar. Muslims however still continue to vote for Laloo.
If Nitish Kumar wants to survive, he has to take the upper castes with him because they have the power and money. If he continues to alienate upper castes, he will go down as quickly he went up. As far as Brahmeshwar Singh is concerned, he was a beacon of hope against Maoists and against killings of upper castes in Bihar. The upper castes has always been victimised by the Maoists patronised by Laloo.
Some upper castes massacre by MCC include;
Dalelchak-Bhagaura: 52 killed
Nonhi-Nagwan: 18 killed
Tiskhora, Patna: 15 killed
Bara, Gaya: 34 hand picked Bhumihars killed in cold blood
Senari, Jehanabad: 35 killed
My tributes to Brahmeshwar Singh and his family.

Patna: A special investigation team (SIT) of the Bihar Police has arrested a close aide of a ruling party legislator in connection with the 1 June killing of Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh ‘Mukhiya’, police said Wednesday.
The SIT arrested the close aide of Janata Dal-United (JD-U) legislator Sunil Pandey late Tuesday night from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
“The arrested man is being brought to Bihar for interrogation. It is a major breakthrough in the case,” a police officer said.
