Is unavailability of electricity one of the reasons for backwardness of Bihar? How ?

Asian Development Bank has offered Bihar a loan of USD 132Million (over 532 crore) to re-innovate, modernize, develop and maintain power transmission line and other distribution system throughout Bihar.

Banks are supporting Bihar in very good manner and this is really encouraging but what will we do with such infrastructure if electricity is not produced in prolific amount? How can we think of distributing the same in whole of Bihar?

This is just like giving cloths to a soldier without food and water but asking to fight in the battle field against enemy!

Bihar also need thermal & Hydro power producing plants so that 24hrs power supply can be insured. Electricity is become scarce to Bihar and due to this proper develop can not be taken up or anticipated.

Is unavailability of electricity one of the reasons for backwardness of Bihar? How ?

i dont think so, sir. misrule of 15 years cannot be changed fortnight. industrialization didnot take place due to insecurity it was never due to power problem. any how now people have started feeling secured and they are watching this election closely. you can see industrialisation taking place post election
Electrification is a must in Bihar, some villages have been using solar panels lately what needs to be promoted on a wider scale.
yeah dude, this also might be 1 of d reason.. coz due to lack of electricity a people firms get affected.. which in contradiction affecting d amenities also .. & our happiness as well..
I think politician are big problem problem of Bihar.99% are corrupt.they all are thief ,they all have criminal background.no one is public leader.i think new generation leader is required in Bihar like student.after that unavailability of electricity will be available.

Dear Friends, this is comment by Mr.Rakesh Kr. Choudhary(through e-mail)

"I think there are several factors which are responsible for the backwardness of bihar, among which some are good roads for the smooth transportation, uninterupted electricity for the production & peaceful law & order to attract top businessmen. In short, this state has lack of funds for it's betterment".
firstly people needs to pay their bill, everything would be fine.
Similar discussion we had at Bihar Bhavan at Chennai on Durga puja. An IAS from Bihar oriugin (but had opted Tamilnadu services- obviously he could have got Bihar easily!). He started the discussion that if Nitish would have given electricity those who have gone out of Bihar, would have come back!
Every one around disagreed!
Electricity is surely important, might be even one of the most important one, but its neither the most important nor the only important one.
Eevry one will agree that law and order, roads, education and alltogether environment! POORA MAHAUL ZAROORI AUR IMPORTANT HAI!
This is comment by our friend Mr.Brahmanand Pandey (through e-mail) "Dear pthatak ji
i am not 100 % agree with you. Electricity is available in all district HQ more then 15hrs, we not utilize properly what we have. from my opinion our state people dont know what we do with available resource. Eduction, awareness and responsibility is 1st factor to develop any state."
There are a number of things that has caused backwardness in Bihar not just electricity. Political and criminal neglect is the main reason.

First thing electricity is a back bone.a factory and small industry run on electricity.i apereciate to the comment1some pollitition are also cause of backwardness of bihar.
Please check how the electricity supply affect our house : Fans, A/C, Heater, Refrigerator, Washing machines, cooking food, water supply, elevators, children study, light in the dark portion of the house, family meeting, security system and so on; all these are operated by electrical power although can be managed by other source of energy but it will be too costly and it will be difficult to operate for long. Thermal power is one the cheapest source of energy at this moment.
