Is religion a personal effect?

Religion is personal and this must be best, as it is our faith, belief, style of living, thoughts and so on. Without religion human will become animal. All the religions are best in themselves as they were made or created or came to guide human lives to lead in proper direction so that a human will not be directionless and would lead own life with peace, self-respect, dignity and brotherhood. These religions came or born or created to wipeout darkness of ignorance, miseries, sorrows in human lives of different parts of the world and tell or guide them in proper direction according to the daily practice of those lands. Their sacred books also taught laws of the land and directed to adopt those practices in human lives so that human could co-exist with other human and animals. Those Rules, regulations, daily practices were roped altogether and after continuous thinking they were presented in the form of books to the people of those lands. In the beginning everything were going smooth but after sometime when we started advancing in modern life which is based on scientific research started asking witness, evidence, proofs for all the religious and metaphysical beliefs. Now human once accepted those religious thoughts, rules, regulations, practices started questioning one’s own beliefs. Later on some people with vested interest took undue advantage of such situations distorted the reality for own gain. Modern education started, again do not accept those religious education once human had attained by own hard work. Now every religion is in hurry to prove oneself better than other by any means which are seemed tobe proper by imminent mass leaders(Social, Political or religious), by these acts of leaders, lives have become difficult and tougher. Now fight is not between religions but thoughts (Old & New) ‘Old thought is religion’ and ‘new thought is science’. But let me remind you that human is such animal who can survive in any condition and environment.Till the existence of this earth, human race will remain intact. Is religion own property or personal Effect ? Should others not be allowed to pass comments or hurt others feelings by action or communication against each others religions?

@Anil ji, Religion is personal subject as people convert into different religion and since that time it becomes own and they start nurturing own, family, social matters as per particular religion, so I feel that could be own property rahter than general concept. what u say about this?

Religion is nobodys private property and again it is liberity of the person which religion he/she wants to follow. @Rajvardhan, I meant 'personal effect' own property/belongings/private things. please comment if you have something in your mind.

Religion is the way of life that develops according to the time and space it belongs to. Climate, geography, crops, water all have contributions in shaping respective ways of life. That is why there are various religions developed at different times and in different demographies on the globe.
The other part often referred to is spirituality. And, our religious heads have very smartly interwoven spirituality into religion that a common man while following a particular way of life indulges in such practises so as to experience elements of spirituality. But, spirituality is one and same and is independent of religions and personal effects....
This is why, when we say all religions teach the same thing - truth, love and humanity, it is spiritual theme and not religious one.

@Abhishek ji, u are only discussing the phenomena of 'Hinduism' not of other religions, could you elaborate the objectives of other religions? Except Indian religions other religions are not based on the same as 'Hinduism' (As everyone knows that Hinduism is not religion but way of life since ancient time).

This is one very interesting thing we may notice and that is, in no religion the basic tenets or say writings have been altered ever by respective followers. It is only the interpretation that is casted to suit contemporary interests.

So if we happen to go though them, we may appreciate the fact that all religions speak the same language of truth, love and humanity. And mind you, whenever and wherever this knowledege has dawned on man, they have been able to find a way of life and form societies. Otherwise many a warring communities have become extinct wihout a mention in the history.

And transcending all these religions is awareness of one omnipotent and omnipresent. Spiritualism is about this common awareness. And it is all above the earthly ways.

What you basically want an elaboration on is perhaps the relative zealotry and jingoism. Relative because no religion is untouched by this. Yes, they do exhibit varying degrees.

Lets try this.

The hinduism has evolved on prosperity; by virtue of fertile planes, water, monsoon, cycle of crops. Resources were aplenty and every body had more than their need.
Islam: Very tough terrain; extreme hot or extreme cold, mirage of water, feeble crops, fight for resources; they had to move and expand their horizon; resulted in an aggressive society.
Christianity: No different either; have been known to be barbaric and fighting till late; but picked up fast and known for conquering territories.

Such things over a great length of time get ingrained in our collective psyche as a community. But, sanity is making its way through and what we are uncomfortable with today are the indulgence by handful.
