Permalink Reply by Rajesh K.Pathak on November 13, 2011 at 6:16pm Earlier education was not like today's education, our education was based on oral or verbal communication mainly in sanskrit which was related to GOD, politics, religion, sociaty related issues e.g. related to death, birth, recaration, GOD grace, herbal medicine and more stress was given on practice, other professional sections of society, like businessmen, carpenter, washermen, barbers, leather makers, goldsmith, blacksmith, wodden basket makers, stone plates makers, gardeners, flower growere/sellers etc. were passing training and education of such art and science to their kith and kin whereas brahmins or Kshatriya were not knowing these arts and were dependents on them. Education of olden age was not for everyone as it was not tool to earn money so barber would like his son to learn the art of cutting hair so that he can earn some livelihood for his family. An educated class of person from any society could not have done using his eduction except in his own art. Education was limited to own profession. Getting knowldge or art or learning to do business, making jewellery, leather taking out, washing, cutting hair, making pots of mud/soil, basket of bamboos, these are also education which were given from father to son/daughters...........so yes in the sense education was totally based on birth but not mandatory or compulsory.....otherwise, Ved vyas, balmiki.........would not have taken birth.

Permalink Reply by Sumit Ranjan on November 13, 2011 at 8:34pm We will bring them back.. I promise you ! There is an ongoing campaign which is very modest at the moment but in due time I would be able to share some "numbers".. We are a group of people who are trying to reach out to all our friends and their friends who have left the country in search of a better life.. While they might be enjoying a better life at the moment.. we are reaching out to them to see if we can atleast form a proper group and make the awareness about India's growth and development and the progress we are making.. and how each one of them could help in this movement..
