Ofcourse I know,and that's not big deal.The British did what they did.We can not live in past.Whatever is the condition of of our education system is our own doing. We are an independent country since more than 60 years.

Very good CHALU, Tumsey mai kaafi impress hua. Tum kabhi - kabhi bahut hi akeelmadi kaa baat karta hai. Kosish karo ki tum barober aeesey hi akilmandi ka baat kartey raho. Mai apnaa vaktabya waapis leta hun ki tum satvaa keelas bhi paas nahi hai. Mai ab maan gayaa ki tum matric pass ho(Parantu reservation/quota sey).

Very true.

Ban English, get rid of western dress and wear dhoti-kurta, chappal. No modern batheroom in homes, we will go to open fields, bath by roadside paani kal or village well. We will ban allopathic medicine, have treatment only by Hakeem or Baidh ji. No railway, car or plane. We will travel by bail gaari. Going out of home will depend on Deeshaashool, that include going to office too.

"Som-Sanischar purab nahi chaalu, Mangal - Buddh Uttar dishi kaalu...." is our ancient exhoration, must be followed.

It is proven fact British were morally dead and greedy. This is not irrelevant or old story their saga continue  today as well. They do not bother about humanitarion crisis in Somaliya and entire Africa but they bother about WMD in IRAQ, Providing logistical support to civilian to fight against their own government in Libya, they are not concern about human right violation in Saudi Arab but they are more concernd about human right violation in China and Iran..

 

These are the height of their bloody double standard and mental bankruptcy. They support those who dance on their tune and let thier riches explored by them. The day you stop dancing on their tune they will turn your enemy and Libya is live example of it.

Atleast they have moral decency to bother.

But what about India ? Silence is akin to complicity.

It is unrealistic to expect Brits or for that matter to anyone to be everywhere. You can't expect half a dozen policemen to be on the spot in all part of the town to prevent/protect all. It is better to do something than nothing atall.

praksh ji....its gud to look at positives...but we all know they gave us something but taken everything from us......India was in far better condition before they arrived here....

even MAnMohan Singh thanx british for giving everything to India...so wats the big DEAL???

By 1668 The Company had established factories in Goa, Chittagong, Bombay, Madras and three small villages in the east of India called Sutanati, Gobindapore and Kalikata which was renamed Calcutta in 1690.  The major factories became the walled forts of Fort William in Calcutta, Fort St George in Madras and Bombay castle, which developed into the great Indian Cities of today.  Of these forts Fort William remains active as the HQ of the Eastern Command of the Indian Army.

  The resulting central administration and governance starts a process that leads eventually to the formation of unified India.

Robert Fortune, a botanist, was hired by The Company to obtain the finest tea plants from China to establish plantations in India.  He disguised himself as Chinese ‘from a distant province’, hired an interpreter, a precaution as the Chinese were extremely protective of their virtual monopoly on tea production.  His efforts resulted in the shipment of 20,000 plants to the Himalayas, establishing Darjeeling as one of the finest tea producing regions in the world, and India as the dominant world tea producer it is today.

Queen Victoria was the ruling monarch at the time, and thanks to her new authority over India, became the first monarch to use the title Empress of India in 1873.
