Whether we like Nitish Kumar or not; there is no denying that Nitish Kumar remains the best Bihar CM of modern times. After the 15 years of misrule by the previous administration, Nitish Kumar has been a breath of fresh air. It would be going back to the dark ages if were to bring back the old regime.

The reason why Nitish Kumar creates such passion in Bihar politics is because he has done something that no other CM has done in the past. Be it development, crime, agriculture, corruption or be it getting business in Bihar, Nitish Kumar has worked hard to Bring Bihar out of its poor condition. Bihar does have logistic problems of power, geography, bifurcated resources and low morale but despite all this, Bihar has come out with a good report card. Bihar virtually synonymous to disconsolateness has risen from the ashes of gloom and muddiness.

Believe it or not, 6800 kilometres of roads, more than 1500 bridges were made during Nitish Kumar’s tenure. Transport facilities are the lifeline of any state. Coming from an agricultural background, I can confirm that sugar mills had collapsed during the previous regime but have done well in the last few years. There has been increase in auto sales, law and order situation has improved, many criminal cases have been solved, criminals sent to jail, kidnapping cases has reduced and investors have been convinced to invest in the state. It cannot be without reason why India’s Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen have showered praise on him. Nitish undoubtedly is a good administrator. Nitish Kumar is still the best CM of Bihar.

hi all

it's sound good to talk about Bihar. I am from Bihar and I can say Mr Nitish Kumar as CM really doing good job to recover Bihar. Still the speed of recovery is very very slow but not out of track. some thing I personally never LIKE or you can say I hate is RESERVATION in any form, for any cast or religion, or sex or culture. All are human and try to improve the infra structure for all, for example if you provide a good road it is going benefit all, no one will object. recently I visited my native place in champaran district ,I come to know that for MUKHIYA ELECTION only lower cast can fight, no upper cast. I say why your are discriminating among society and peoples. Till now my village was out of problems, now first time I noticed there was tension between upper and lower. Now you think the person having power or respect or education suddenly lost his social respect . why dont you bring laws which say that all Indian are same cast. there is no forward or backward like dowry made illegal or college ragging announced as against law same CAST ISM IS AGAINST LAW, MAKE SOME HARD RULE LIKE POTA. This will bring law of equivality but dividing peoples is not practical and long lasting. UNITE BIHAR, YOU WILL BE PRAISED. LAW AND ORDER. ROAD, ELECTRICITY. As some one said -implement something to bring back our cream peoples who left bihar due corrupt law and order. CLEAN BIHAR FROM DADAGIRI and bring some project like TATANANO OR INVESTORS TO PUT MONEY IN BIHAR, CREATE JOB IN BIHAR, ..........................Over all Nitish is the BEST CM FOR BIHAR.

He is the best CM as we do not have any other alternative. Bihar has been governed so badly in the past that any good work is widely appreciated here. CM is doing good work but he cannot be called "the best CM". There are many areas where this govt . has been failure. Let us appreciate CM's good work and hope that he will keep trying for betterment of people.

The article by Shalu Sharma has emphasized on road network developed by Bihar govt. But how many of us know that three districts of Kosi division do not have road access(Indian railway is the only option) to Patna, for last two years. Only smooth road they have is connecting road to Nepal. A lot has to be done to improve electricity condition in Bihar.

This is only your point of view. But a general not support your thinking, Because I am trying for Birth Certificate for my baby through PMC (Patna Nagar Nigam) from last 04 month but it is very deficult still. There are so many site by Nitish Kumar but not any site update right information like mails ids and Telephone No. Have you any suggesition for me.

Political parties are using the old trick of "divide and rule" . I have seen " Minority Hostel" built by govt. in district headquarters . Why they are making separate hostels for muslims. For congress it was SC-ST , for RJD OBC and now Nitish is banking upon MBC and Mahadalit.

It is easier for these politicians to pick a social group rather then work for development and empowerment of all. If they will concentrate on welfare of poor people it will automatically reach to backward sections of the society. These politicians are here to rule so they will use caste politics to make secure vote banks for them.

Nitish is of course doing very good..But People still in old mode of working( like bribery...corrupt police...corrupt employees...corrupt mukhiyas and sarpanchs..) People not helping him in the way of development....My village is still devoid of electricity...and The 2008 Floods was also a big hurdle in his way of development....The Koshi area is still in the dark age of after floods effects..

Well 4 dis i cant comment 100% as its been 2year since i didn't visit Bihar, but what i hv heard from news channels & magazine dat they all point out gud things abt CM Nitish Kumar's work 4 d development of Bihar, so i havn't heard bad abt him lately & hence cant assume dat he is not working. For the matter of Corruption/Bribing/Mafia/Loot/Docoity/Kidnapping and other anti-social element, pls understand dat it cant be removed over night which has been flourished in Bihar from decade to decades. Even to get india freedom it took almost 200 years with so many people fighting together and shedding their blood and life, and in this case a single man (Nitish Kumar) can't do much without the help of people of Bihar, so be with him and give him adequate time and support. I urge to everyone pls ask a question to yourself b4 raising your finger to anyone that " ARE WE AS A INDIVIDUAL, A CORRECT PERSON AND DID NOT DO ANY BAD THING IN PAST OR STILL NOT DOING AND WE ARE FREE FROM ANY CORRUPTION/ALLEGATION "

I wud like 2 clarify that neither Nitish belongs 2 my caste nor i m a voter/supporter of his party, coz some reader might assume so.

Lets give time 4 CHANGE.

Well no doubt that Nitish ji has done wonders for bihar, Peoples around the india looks bihar in a different perspective now

which was not there in previous regime. This is the initial burst really needed to change the old bihar to modern bihar .

I have been outside from bihar through out my life occasionally i visited bihar but now i would like to come back and settle there.

Some brilliant comments. Many people have shown confidence in Nitish Kumar and his BJP ally. Most people do acknowledge that development has taken place but not as fast as we would have liked.
