Charitable organisation

Are there any genuine charitable organisation in Bihar, particularly in or around Patna, who work for upliftment of poor and harrassed women?

Whom do somone contact, if willing to give voluntary service?

I looks that some serious minded NRIs only have to go there and start a charity who want to do some real work and not created for donation only. My efforts to contact from UK have not shown any tangible result so far.

I dont know anyone in UK but here in USA there is nothing. Time to time there would collections but where the money goes is anyones guess. It will be a great idea to start for NRI to do some real work for bihar. what say..

NRI ( Native Residents of India ) are the one who must look after their native land.

Dhai Aakhar Foundation working in Aurangabad district ... one can visit the website also www.dhaiaakhar.org...also search dhai aakhar foundation in google search. DAF is working for upliftment of underprivileged children, specially girl child.
