There no comparision between our social system and social system of other civilization. When money was not prevalent in our society but it was so arranged that each and every caste/class could earn their livelihood and with full respect.

Caste systems also prevailed in Chritianity or Islam or Jain or Budhism, as there are always minimum two sects.......these religions did not florish that much in terms of social system otherwise, one could have seen 100 of castes/subdivision in chritianities or other religions. Aryan/Hindu society is here in this world since time immemorial so very difficult to say the evolution of caste system in India.

Caste is everywhere in India be it Hindus or Muslims, Sikhs or Jains.

Downtrodden or schedule caste or backwardclass or harizan etc. were coined by govt. after 1947 to get votes from those people and to promote these concepts govt.had instructed the educational institution and its authorities to incorporate such texts which could do promotion of the concept, in this regards later on many TV serials were made and people started believing that there were atrocities committed by forward class on the backward class which again destroyed the social system, now govt. is trying to bridge the gap between social groups by intituting concept of casteless society, now the whole social structure will fall and no one will be happy to enjoy the casteless society.

Shalu ji, I am agree with u, there are many divisions or subdivisions in all the religions, these religions are in minority that is why they seems tobe united but see the other countries where muslims or christians are in majority all these are fragmented into various divisions and they commit the crime of atrocities on their own religion people but subdivision wise in minority see there Shias are in majoriy they commit atrocities heavily on sunnies or vis-a-versa(see, pakistan, afghanistan, iran, saudi, lebanon, syria etc.), Hindus are not at all intolerant.

Dr.saheb, thank u for yr comment, good scientist belongs to Christian communities mostly catholic..........which is in big numbers(majority), protestants, Indian christians, Christians from England, germany or America, Philipins etc................ There is always a kind of barrier amongst these christians......Muslins are also divided in various groups or divisions, pl check in India, pakistan or arab countries, same way Budhiest or jains..........Hindu is not religion but a synonym for people staying in India were worshipping Idols...........'Hindu' word is coined after AD 1075 when arabs came to India......Christians from England in AD 1600 came to India coined 'Bharatiya' India........Actually Caste system is created in Kalyug, and verna system was created in Satyug, Treta, 'Dwaparyug' It is belived that BC 5000 Dwapar ended and the whole world was recycled in that all the invented or developed materials, equipment etc. were lost including Dwarika of Krishna so it always looks difficult to prove...... Caste system was not originated all of sudden it is resulted with opportunities with various profession in society and to secure the livelihood, people automatically were defined or called with particular profession although verna was existing at that time.

Instead of giving more stress on casteless society, Bihar govt. focus more on developmental issues, and leave caste related issues as it is. There will not be any result of raising and doing anything related to caste but once this issue is poked, will take new turn and hamper development issues. Instead of coersive action by Bihar govt. towards schools, educational institution to change the exisitng surnames or modify them which indicates that govt. does not have much to do development except playing politics like their precedessors.
