@Dear Vivek ji, why do you think that my opinion has flavour of casteism although i have not mentioned about any particular caste or creed! I have narrated you the thinking of people towards brahmins, whether it is right or wrong, you should come out with your opinion.

NICE pathak ji u started a topic about a cast and ur saying ur not promoting casteism...MIND ONE THING welfare of one cast will never be welfare of a state.

I truly agree wid u frnd...if ppl who are supporting such discussion really want development of state then they must stop mistaking their caste as their identity. ur identity sud be indian,bihari not brahmin or likewise. Its good only when u talk of marriage related things that too sud be libral. I get a smell of extremists when some one talk of caste and religion...and it sucks. My cast is humanity...i am just indian and bihari. i respect all religion all caste but choose to be wid none like an extremist...

Ours is a very-very old civilisation. The 'varna vyavastha' was contemporary management of tasks devoid of any hierarchy. But like any good system, it developed the rot over time and discriminatory connotations established.
This is an era of social re-engineering. This process has its bit of irrationalities but its only human. For many, it is the process of re-surgence while for others it is fait accompli. The classes referred to above are fast giving way for modern identities. Learn to believe the present.

@mohit ji but just accusing a particular caste which has been created 'Hauwa' by political class to get vote bank of muslims, backward, schedule caste, tribes and cursing promoter of 'Hinduism' for past deeds what they have done? go to any office which are staffed by 'reserved class people', they have one attitude to teach upper caste people mainly brahmins, this is sick mentality, this will encourage civil war! Knowing government is sitting and watching doing nothing to get votes in next election?

@mohit ji, yr statement is not correct ' as u sow so you reap'! your must know that most of sudras were brought from jungles, ghatis, mountain, valleys, adiwasi areas and others were from Mideast. Some of them were travelers in search of livelihood and later were sheltered by brahmins, kshatriya and bashya who had resources in terms of grains, fields to harvest, animal to milk etc. These brahmins, kshatriyas, vasya had given them sheltered at their land getting promises to help them in their day-today work. That time there were no industrialization and all had to depend on agriculture, animal and related business e.g. ploughing, sowing, cultivation, milking, carpentary work, blacksmithing, gold smithing, cloth washing, house building, hair cutting, and so many other. As society was totally depend on agriculture, animal and related business that is why for their daily business, sudras were asked to help them to perform related activities. what is wrong in this? then why brahmins are targeted coz then helped them?

You are talking about our constitution which has taken everything from brahmins, their right to perfom, justice, birth, marriage, death certification but given reserved all rights for muslims and schedule caste, sanskrit is repalced by hindi and english which has further snatched livelihood from brahmins, after 60 years of independence still backward people have not come up! what you think, it is not unjust towards people who supported all the class of people from ancient to modern? there are million of people of forward class who are badly hit by central and state govt. approach. can you ask govt. how long the politics will be played on the basis of caste, creed and religion? can you question constitution of indian how long more this will extend support to so called unprivileged class of people now who do not leave any stone unturned to insult forward class people in their office without any reason, here i am refering to common public. don't you think that we were preparing for another civil war created by constitution and our politcal class?

@ mr. pathak, that was not my statement. Its a proverb and is correct by all means(refer a good dictionary). Even your correction is not wrong.But before pointing out any mistake please verify it.

As far as ur views are concerned regarding what Brahmans did for sudras it may be correct i have no idea and i dont want to comment. But just to let u know that sudras have not only been workers only, they have been rulers too.---

Y not in performing pooja or other tasks. The lower caste people continue to be employed by the higher castes in the rural areas to perform menial and degarding jobs. We do not see the opposite happening anywhere in the country, except perhaps in companies and corporations owned by a few lower caste hindus.They were not given equal status that is also understood but as far ur ans of what is wrong is concerned....wrong was the treatment given to them in return of the help for instance---Fahien mentioned that when the sudras entered a city or a street they were required to strike a piece of wood to warn others of their coming so that people moving in the streets could keep themselves PURE,by avoiding them.

That was just an example, for decades Brahmans suppressed sudras under laws made by them for their own benefit. I dont know whether 60 yrs were enough or not for their revival,specially in heavy presence of dominant caste in dominating positions in society.

But all i know is reservation is a tactics being used or say abused by all parties forming govts. Now u tell me when Brahmans were in dominating position did they gave it up themselves?? so y do u expect blessed ppl by virtue of indian constitution or say political parties to stop accepting reservation.
