When Bihar was not separated from Jharkhand, Bihar was just like India by all means whether to compare the soil, economy, agriculture, industries, people etc. it was called ‘south Bihar’ and ‘North Bihar’. After separation, all the mines, mineral deposits, industrial zones and areas went to Jharkhand and plains for agriculture remained with Bihar. Slowly economic condition of Bihar started deteriotating day by day and no measures were taken to uplift the economy of the state.

North Bihar is full of gangatic plain with high fertile land, soil is better than soil of Punjab for agricultural purpose. There are many agricultural colleges and institutions but of no avail, due to flood and drought Bihar has been failing in climbing the ladder of development as it is totally depended on agriculture, nothing else.

Bad governance has also been reason for the failure of the state being high fertile land Biharis have to bring food grains from other state to survive it is really matter of shame as Bihar can feed the whole country with its grown crops if flood and drought do not force Bihar to follow the path of destruction.

Situation is so bad that farmers are selling their land to make their both hands meet and survive with their families, even they are selling their properties to educate their children but no avail after education also there is no ray of hope for getting employment. Farmers have become hopeless from ‘Indradev’ and the government side. Political parties are fighting for their election and to come in power but they are not interested to listen the voice of backbone of Bihar’s economy, the farmers. What can we call this? Is this total failures of government and its machineries or they have become deaf and turned down the expectation of farmers?

Farmers with great skills and technique are leaving Bihar to other state to survive leaving their families at their native place and getting ill-treatment from outsiders, so much desperation with these class to just survive, being Hindi speaking these people have tough time to manage with outside world for getting suitable or respectable employment or business. How can government at centre and state sort out the problems of this big class of our modern society?
