As I have explained myself that I am a qualified fashion designer and hope to bring fashion to Bihar, I often wonder if our Bihari folkes are really fashion concious. I mean those Biharis who live in Bihar, not those who have migrated to other parts of India and the world. I had a very frnk talk with a friend of my Mummy and Daddy who recently visited Kuwait City. What he told me is very discouraging.

He said that well educated, forward looking Biharis do not live in Bihar. Those who are left in Bihar are very conservative, orthodox and they do not have money. They struggle to survive. How come they will think of fashion ? An empty stomach requires food, not designer clothes. They are mostly sari wearing type, not Bikini - swim suit wearing type. Men prefers dhoti, kurta , lungi and youngsters are unemployed to purchase anything.

So, I am having second thought about my Biahri project.

Boyfriends and girlfriends are culture of advance society. These things do not happen in backward society. And if you do not support marrying outside, then do you support marrying in same caste - community - gotra and prepetuate inbreeding. By the same token, would you have no hesitation marrying a cousin like Muslims ?

Madam, when are you opening your outlet ?  When I was in America doing MA in New York, I often went to Centre 21 outlet to look at all those lovely things for sale. But being a student and very little money in my pocket, I could not afford to buy them. Now I have some money, I can be your first customer.
